what is integral coaching?
Integral coaching facilitates personal transformation. While we may begin with a focus on one area of your life, this methodology allows your insights to permeate throughout your entire life. I will help you remember the well of wisdom that already dwells within you by supporting you in reframing, reacquainting, or cultivating your relationship with any one or all three centers of wisdom: mind, heart, and body.
Here are some of the common areas of life to explore:
Relationships: self, romantic, friendship, familial, professional
Inner world: inner critic, inner child, emotional landscape, personal values
Career: purpose, financial mindset, hierarchical structures
Spirituality: connection to the divine, alignment with the higher self, accessing intuition
Integral coaching is about seeing you as you are right now and realizing that your presence is a manifestation of a lifetime of experiences. In order to empower you to see the overall quality of your life with fresh eyes and to step into a deeper and fuller way of being, I will offer self-reflection exercises and new practices that target specific competencies: cognitive, emotional, somatic, relational, spiritual, and integrating.
integral coaching programs
Duration
Programs last for ~6 months or 12 sessions, which include one intake and one closing reflection session. That does not include a brief, additional alignment call, which takes place after intake and before the first coaching call to preview the program.
Sessions
Sessions are 60 minutes and can be either video or phone calls. I ground the sessions in the program that I design specifically for you and overlay the elements of the program onto your daily life to make connections, recognize themes, and process how smaller moments inform the larger context of your life journey.
In-Between
I invite you into self-reflection journaling and new practices that help you step into a new way of being in your life. Integral Coaching asks of you a commitment to do this work in between our sessions in order to deepen our time together and to give yourself the opportunity to enact profound change in your life.
FAQs
How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching is oriented to the present and your desires for the future, whereas therapy supports healing trauma and significant experiences of the past. Coaching is contained within a time-bound program with an articulated pathway; therapy can be indefinitely ongoing. Both coaching and therapy are healing endeavors with qualities of non-judgment, compassion, reflection, and presence.
Is therapy a prerequisite for coaching?
One size does not fit all when it comes to personal growth. I am trained to sense when a potential client may not be ready for coaching yet, and I will recommend therapy, instead. Because coaching involves a level of self-awareness and a capacity for change that is self-driven in between sessions, sometimes there are still significant experiences from the past that require attention before being able to be present during coaching conversations and all of the life that happens in between.
What will happen when I journey through Integral Coaching?
We will work together toward a deeper, fuller, and more grounded way of being in your life. I will create a program for you based on your coaching topic and the Intake that includes a purpose statement and a set of outcomes focused on specific competencies. I will invite you into practices and self-reflection exercises to engage in between sessions. At the end of the coaching engagement, it is intended that your life feels like the purpose statement.
How much does coaching cost?
It varies, and I use a discretionary income-based pricing model in order to eliminate the barrier to entry that often comes with this kind of healing endeavor. Your investment in coaching is roughly ten percent of what is left each month after you have paid your other nonnegotiable life expenses.
Do you offer couples or group coaching?
I offer individual coaching only. Through individual coaching, though, I invite you into self-reflection and practices that impact different realms of your life, including your relationships, both personal and professional. While our work is 1:1, I believe that you will notice our work show up in your experiences with romantic partners, family members, friends, and colleagues in ways that are healing, challenging, and insightful. In addition, I offer Tarot programs that are a mix of self-guided and supported by me; and while they are built for 1:1 support, you can also enroll alongside a partner or group as a way of connecting with one another and deepening the work.
“This being human is a guest house. / Every morning a new arrival. / A joy, a depression, a meanness, / some momentary awareness comes / as an unexpected visitor. / Welcome and entertain them all! / Even if they are a crowd of sorrows, / who violently sweep your house / empty of its furniture, / still, treat each guest honorably. / He may be clearing you out / for some new delight. / The dark thought, the shame, the malice. / meet them at the door laughing and invite them in. / Be grateful for whatever comes. / because each has been sent / as a guide from beyond.”

P.W. says:
“I felt immediately seen and heard by KP. She's extremely talented at being able to reflect back and articulate the narratives of the inner journey. The reflection exercises she gave me added a depth of insight and matched perfectly with the process I was going through. It felt like she was holding the book open for my story to be written.”
Rachel W. says:
“From the beginning of our coaching engagement, Kimberly has created a warm, open environment for self-examination and growth. Kimberly's guidance and insight as a coach helped me better understand myself and my relationships with others. Her thoughtfulness and wisdom in developing a highly-individualized coaching program have made the experience especially meaningful. The tools and frameworks she's developed to support our process have continued to play an important role in my life and my practices. Through my work with Kimberly, I have become more confident expressing and sharing my authentic self with others and have reconnected with habits and activities that bring me joy. My relationships with others, in both personal and professional spaces, are deeper and more open. I highly recommend Kimberly to anyone looking to work through life challenges by exploring and working towards your truest goals!”
